The distinction in one line
A device is a piece of hardware. A simultaneous connection is one stream playing at a given moment. Plans are priced on connections, because that's what consumes capacity.
What each package allows
- 1 device: one stream at a time. Fine for a single viewer, even if you move between a TV and a phone at different times.
- 2 devices: two streams at once — for example two people watching different things in the same evening.
- 3 devices: three streams at once, the largest package we offer.
There is no unlimited option. Each package is limited to its stated number of simultaneous streams.
Different internet networks are allowed
On the 2- and 3-device plans, the simultaneous streams do not have to share one connection or one household. They can run on different internet networks, within your plan's connection limit. A 2-device plan supports two concurrent streams whether they are in the same room or in two different places.
Choosing the number you actually need
Count the people who would realistically watch at the same time, not the screens in your home. For a year, a single connection is $59.99, two connections $99.99 and three $139.99 — so paying for concurrency you never use is the easiest way to overspend.
Testing concurrency during the trial
Your selected package is a preference for a future paid plan. Your trial matches your selected plan: 1, 2 or 3 simultaneous streams, with the same content as the paid subscription.
Next steps: check the device categories, look at the plan totals, or request your 24-hour trial.
